These terms govern access to and use of Watauga County Recent Arrests. Using any part of the site means accepting these conditions. Anyone who does not agree should discontinue use. The rules apply to site content, search features, links, and interactions with connected third-party services. They also set limits on permitted conduct, warranties, liability, and use of arrest or custody information. Official Watauga County and North Carolina resources remain governed by their own published terms.

Watauga County Recent Arrests is privately owned and is not connected with any government body, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening services covered by the FCRA. The site points visitors toward Watauga County and North Carolina arrest and custody resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Service

This is a private reference site. It has no authority over the Watauga County Sheriff, Watauga County Detention Center, North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, courts, NC SAVAN/VINELink, or federal agencies. No official records are stored here. The site cannot confirm custody, release a person, change a record, accept a public-record request on an agency's behalf, or file a court document.

Content identifies official and third-party resources that may help locate arrest, jail, court, or corrections information. A link does not turn an outside record into site content or make the site its custodian.

Acceptable Use Rules

North Carolina Law Applies

These conditions are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in North Carolina. Public access to qualifying state and local government records is governed by North Carolina Chapter 132, but that law does not make this private site a records custodian.

If One Term Is Invalid

If a court finds one part of these conditions invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as needed to make it lawful and enforceable.
